The Edmonton Blues Society (EBS) is a registered non-profit society in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Our mission is to promote and facilitate local blues musicians and fans coming together to enjoy the music they love, by: - giving amateur, developing and professional Blues musicians a chance to play to a supportive audience, EBS is completely run by volunteers who are blues fans and/or musicians themselves! The following members have been elected to the EBS Board for 2009: James Donelon, Janette Frigon, Lonnie Hanson, Bernie Kowalewski, Andy Nikiforuk, Mary Richards, Rosalynn Ruptash, Tom Wood and Maureen Workman. Andy, Bernie, Rosalynn and Tom will form the EBS Executive and James, Janette, Lonnie, Mary and Maureen will be Directors. Thank you to all the EBS members for your support at our AGM!
We host monthly dances and jam sessions at the Queen Alexandra Hall, 10425 University Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., music at 8:00 p.m., unless otherwise posted.
