A veteran entertainer, Canadian blues icon and Juno Award winner, James’ talents as a guitarist, vocalist, band leader, and songwriter have allowed him to produce the music he loves for over three decades. Paul is also the recipient of Toronto Music awards for Best Club Band and Best Blues Artist.

"Paul James has long been one of the most complete performers on the Canadian roots music scene. This Torontonian is plugged into all the heavy sources, from Muddy Waters and John Hammond to Bob Dylan and Bo Diddley. Paul James is a soulful singer who can lay down a blazing guitar solo, plus he's also the consummate showman and entertainer."
-- Peter North/CKUA
"Paul James is not only one of the nation's finest blues musicians, he's one of our province's most beloved talents. Paul's performance at the Calgary Midwinter Bluesfest was not only sold out, the evening was filled with resounding applause, enthusiastic dancers and joyous smiles."
-- Cindy McLeod, Producer Calgary Midwinter Bluesfest
